Chapter 45

• "Because you're Abigail. " He whispers, his gaze darting away from my eyes, and I gulp down the tension that flows through my body "Um... Could you step away? You're too close.
• " I mutter, staring behind him, and he chuckles, doing the opposite of what I've asked. He places a hand beside my head, and inches closer; his face virtually in mine, and I shut my eyes to the feel of his hot breath against my skin.
• "Are you scared, Abigail?" He whispers next to my ear; his voice sends chills across my body, and I bite down on my lips before opening my eyes to meet his gaze with a smile on my face.
