Chapter 20

• "Um. Am I Interrupting a moment?" I don't think I've ever pulled away from someone so fast. I don't think I've ever even moved so fast as I did.
• At the sound of Sinclair's voice; I'm quick to push Vincent away from me, and he furrows his brows at me as I step away from him; my hands laying lamely by my sides as heat floods through my body.
• "No, you're not. I thought you weren't gonna show, " thankfully, Vincent doesn't question me further about my strange behavior as he moves across the room to get to his best friend, and I just stand still; feeling so stupid.
