Chapter 99 Not My Fault

  • I could hear the sirens blaring a short while later, then in came four officers. Coincidentally, two of them were from the criminal investigation department, and they knew Joseph, since they worked with him on a case before.
  • Joseph told them about the gist of the case, and they promised they’d crack the case as soon as possible so they could arrest the trespassers. However, I was worried that the trespasser might have been Roy.
  • I looked at Lena’s left hand a few times when I went to see her the day before, and I pinched her ring finger when I held her hand. That hint was obvious enough for her, though I only told Roy about it face to face. If Lena wasn’t the one behind this trespassing, then Roy was the only suspect left. I hope it’s not you. You’ve lived here for a couple of months, cleaned the house, and you even paid your respects to my mother. You saw this place as your home, but if you are the one who raided this place just to protect Lena, I won’t hold back anymore.
