• “Serve while it's hot,“ said one of the waiters who had been given permission to enter. He brought a bowl of ramen with various other accompaniments. The tension that had been building up was slightly eased. It was impossible for them to be ready to fight when someone else came in.
• “Enjoy your meal, miss,” said the waiter as he withdrew.
