• Rita didn't move from her seat at all. Even though the flat screen in front of her eyes had changed channels, she still didn't want to leave. She didn't fully trust the program she had just watched.
• “Madam,” Maria called softly. The head maid felt that the mistress shouldn't be so quiet. Was she too shocked, or was something bothering her? She had to find out immediately. Maria was responsible for everything the mistress did. She couldn't let her health suddenly deteriorate and leave her in a difficult position.
• Roderick was not a man who forgave easily, especially since Maria had been entrusted with this responsibility. She couldn't imagine anything bad happening in this house, especially to Marguerite Langley.
