Chapter 6

  • "Did you eat? Can I make you something?" Evan asked, pulling away and realizing my discomfort.
  • "Yes, I ate already, but I have a complaint," I stated.
  • "What's the matter, Hon?" He sounded concerned and attentive.
  • "I don't like orange juice," I said, quite firmly.
  • "Orange juice is healthy. Alright, you can have it only three times a week," he suggested.
  • I opposed, "No! Two times, and that's it."
  • "Deal," he agreed with a nod.
  • "Get ready, we're going shopping," he suddenly announced.
  • "What? I don't need anything, I don't want anything," I resisted, not wanting to appear like a gold digger.
  • "We need to, for the TikTok videos," he explained. "But I have almost everything in the closet. Or those clothes aren't mine?" I asked.
  • "Yes, they're yours, but I'm bored, and I want to show you around town. Please, stop being difficult," he said, looking a bit helpless.
  • "Alright, if you insist," I conceded.
  • "Great. In twenty then," he said before I rushed upstairs to grab my purse.
  • "Put on the baby blue mini dress with the Forum Mid sneakers," he ordered, and I nodded.
  • "Match them, please," he added. I rolled my eyes at him and exited the room, assuming he was also getting ready.
  • I chose the baby blue mini dress that perfectly defined my curves, along with the Forum Mid sneakers in white with baby blue straps, matching the dress. A bit of lip gloss was all I needed as I wasn't a fan of makeup. With a final look in the mirror, I went to the living room to meet Evan.
  • To my surprise, he wasn't there yet, so I waited for a few minutes until he finally arrived. He was wearing an Adidas sweater and pants with white baby blue straps, and his shoes were the same as mine. The coordination was impeccable.
  • "Wow, you look stunning," he whispered in my ear, making me turn to face him.
  • "You can kiss me before we go if you like," he playfully suggested, noticing my stunned state.
  • "You cleaned up nicely," I commented, avoiding giving him the satisfaction of knowing I liked him.
  • "I can get used to this," he added, taking my hands. After kissing both of them, he led me to his garage, which was filled with a stunning collection of cars. Now, I couldn't help but ask, "There are more than twenty cars here. Do people rent your garage?"
  • "No, they're all mine," he replied, holding my hand and my purse in his hands.
  • I was stunned not just by his collection but by how caring he was. He then went on to give orders to his men regarding the cars.
  • "Justin and your group take the back car, Josh and yours take the front car," he instructed. He then led me to the Bentley, and I was able to recognize it as my favorite car. He opened the passenger's door for me, ensuring I was comfortably seated, and he then settled into the driver's seat.
  • "Why are you so romantic? No offense, but most rap artists I know can't be this romantic," I finally asked.
  • "Because you're special," he responded, kissing my forehead before fastening his own seatbelt. He smiled at me and continued, "Our first stop is Celine; they have fancy handbags there."
  • Arriving at the store, I felt special as Evan carried my purse while holding my hand. His bodyguards trailed behind us, trying to push away fans who were snapping pictures. "I hope I don't look horrible in these photos," I expressed my concern as the fans kept snapping pictures, despite the bodyguards' efforts to cover us.
  • "Don't worry; it won't be posted anywhere. My publicity will sue them. Only the ones you choose will be posted," he confidently reassured me, kissing my hand as we entered the store. The assistant was stunned to see us.
  • "Oh my gosh! Baby?" she gasped, clearly shocked.
  • "I'll take that as a compliment," Evan responded curtly.
  • "I love your music, especially the TikTok shorts," she said.
  • "Is that how you greet your customers?" he replied with annoyance.
  • "Emily!" he read her name from her employee tag. "Can I see your manager?" he ordered.
  • "I'm so sorry, Sir, I'll assist you right away," she stammered, clearly afraid of losing her job.
  • "Then welcome my queen properly," he said.
  • "I'm so sorry, Miss. I'm Emily. How may I assist you?" she introduced herself.
  • "I don't think so. Can you call someone? You just seduced my fiancée in my sight," I responded.
  • "I'm so sorry, Miss. I'll..."
  • "Now," Evan didn't let her finish and interrupted with an angry tone. "Right away, Sir, Miss... Grace?" She called out to her colleague.
  • Since I'd met him, I hadn't seen him so angry. I was immediately worried about what would happen when he got angry with me. I know I can be stubborn, so it wouldn't be hard to upset him. My thoughts were interrupted by a lady, "Good day, Sir, Miss... My name is Grace, and I'll be your assistant."
  • "Show us your best handbag and purse collection," Evan ordered.
  • "With pleasure, this way," Grace said, and we followed her, with Evan intertwining our hands. The bags were expensive, and I didn't want to take them. But Evan kept reminding me that I'd need them for all the pictures and videos we'd be making. "I'll make this money with the first post I'll make," he assured, but I still didn't look convinced.
  • "Alright, watch," he said, calling his bodyguards and giving them some instructions. Then he turned to me and explained, "They'll take a video now. You act normally. Kiss my cheeks if necessary. I'll be sitting here to observe you choosing your favorite bags, a minimum of ten."
  • I obeyed, and they started taking a video. I made my choices, and Grace kept explaining the designs and designers. I was a little dramatic, randomly giving Evan a peck on the lips, which made him smile.
  • "We're out with my baby; she wants some bags. I told her to get the whole store," he said to the camera. I came and sat on his lap, with my hands wrapped around his waist, while the camera followed us. He seemed surprised by my sudden move. He first closed his eyes and pecked my forehead.
  • "Can we go to Chanel?" I lovingly said, knowing it was acting for social media.
  • "Whatever you want, baby, but are you sure these bags are enough? You can take more, you know?" He asked seriously, not looking like he was acting for the camera anymore.
  • I shook my head, disagreeing. He kissed my forehead again before saying, "My baby is so innocent. I'll make her look like a dime. And if any of you guys dare to try to steal her from me, there'll be blood. There's no playing here." He switched to his gangster tone, and I just smiled.
  • Finally, the camera cut, and he took his phone to post the video. The caption read, 'She wanted a bag; I told her she can have the store.' After he was done paying for the bags, which his bodyguards took care of, we headed out to our cars, with the aim of going to Chanel. As we drove away, I was holding his phone, which began to beep. I watched in shock as the video he had posted just a minute ago had already accumulated two million likes, double views, comments, and shares, not to mention that it had already made $280,000.
  • "I only spent $15k on your bags. I'll maybe spend $150k on you, but the money I'll make is more than that," he explained. I was taken aback, as I loved money and seeing the figures left me a bit shocked.
  • "So the videos we'll be making on TikTok will make this much?" I asked.
  • "Of course. If we make ten videos a week, that can be like 15 million," he said, fastening his seatbelt as mine was done already.
  • "Wow!" I said, clearly shocked.
  • "Now can I spend the money on you without your guilty conscience?" he asked, to which I nodded.
  • "So, Chanel, right?" he asked, and I nodded. After kissing my hand and ensuring his bodyguards' cars were in position, he drove.
  • In the next shops, it was pretty much the same. I tried on many outfits while Evan sat in a chair and watched me. He was the one choosing all the clothes, rings, and jewelry for me. My favorite moment was when I got a necklace with my initials. It was pretty, and it instantly reinforced why I loved money so much—it could get you anything.
  • We also made videos at each stop, and they were generating a significant amount of money. As we returned to his apartment to prepare for dinner, I chose a beautiful mini rose umbrella skirt with wedges. I wanted to make a good impression as it was my first time meeting his friends on a normal basis. After a final look in the mirror, I went downstairs to meet him. Surprisingly, he wasn't there yet, which made me realize he was a bit slow at getting ready.
