Chapter 19
- "Hello?" I responded, still puzzled, as I didn't know who this was. "I am Angie, Evan's big sister. I recognized you from the pictures and the description Evan gave me," she said. I stole my eyes from her to look at Evan, who was now awkwardly looking everywhere else but me. I turned my attention back to the lady and said, "I see, nice to meet you," I said and she nodded.
- "My mom organized this pregnant again dinner for me, nothing big, just family. I would love for you to come," she invited. "Sure, I'll love to come," I said, sounding confident when deep down I knew I was not going to go. "Thank you. Alright kids, let's go pack our goddies in the car," she added, turning to the kids who nodded and ran to the car while two guards were following them. The guards had to run to keep up with the kids. Two guards were behind Angie, and four were left with Evan.
- "How... how have you been?" He asked as I was now staring at his face. "Excuse me?" I asked, looking dumbfounded. "I know you are angry with me, but I thought it was for the best... if you give me another..." "Another what?" I didn't let him finish. "Tell me Evan, another what?" I asked, and he looked out of words. "It was for your own good," he finally said. "Then it still is for my own good," I was tired of crying over a man who didn't care after all. As he was about to say something, William interrupted, "Is anything a problem here?" He asked with his low yet intimidating tone. "No, there's no problem William. I just ran into an old friend. I mean Lil baby, remember the guy professing undying love for me, then later ghosted me?" I said, eyeing Evan who cursed. "Shit," as he ran his hands through his hair. "Yes, oh it is him, thank you so much, bro. I was your big fan. Not anymore since we clearly want the same thing, but thank you so much."
