Chapter 22

  • Early morning, I was shocked at how Evan didn't even bother to come look for me. Not that I would believe him, but at least to come and fake declare his love for me. I went straight to the shower, and after putting on my sweater and pants with shades to hide my slightly swollen eyes, I rushed out. Just as predicted, Evan's guards were nowhere near the apartment. I felt a little sad about how Evan didn't bother anymore. At least he owed me an explanation.
  • "Well, maybe I'll move on tomorrow," I said out loud and started the car. Yes, in this last month, I got a learner's license. It said I should drive with the supervision of an elder, but now that I didn't have William nor Evan on my side, I took the risk of getting arrested. Finally, I pulled over and went inside. It was weird; everyone was staring at me and gossiping, but I didn't mind them. I reached my office and found Sam already packing.
  • "Amy," she said as she rushed to me.
