Chapter 24 Captives

• The air in the dungeon was thick with the scent of damp stone and a faint, acid smell. As they gathered the freed captives, their faces a mix of relief and fear, the reality of their situation began to set in. The dungeon was vast, they wouldn't be able to protect everyone if ambushed and wouldn't have anywhere to run. All the tunnels led to certain places, and those places might be dangerous.
• "Alright, everyone, stick together," Commander Jorah commanded, his voice steady but urgent. "We need to move quickly and quietly. Sheila, take point with me."
• Sheila nodded, her eyes scanning the dimly lit corridor ahead. "Got it. Let's get these people out of here." Sheila's mind went back to Luca, she hoped he was okay. She promised herself that once she helped the captives out of the dungeon, she would come back for him.
