- "Anybody home?" I call out from the living room. Mom and Maggie come down the hall, both of them dressed, but still flush from their lovemaking. "What have you two been doing all day?" I ask.
- "Oh we went shopping." Mom says, smiling at Maggie.
- "And just hung out." Maggie says, laughing at what is suppose to be an inside joke. "What about you? How was your day?" Maggie asks.
