• After the dead crows had all been taken care of, we were all ordered to continue working. Me? Working on a farm? Who would have ever thought? I would have taken off long ago but that would mean the Alpha would find out I refused to obey his orders and I left. I couldn't risk ruining my carefully built image in front of him. He still needs to see me as the perfect girl he knows, that way, I was sure I would have his approval when things finally get serious between Owen and me.
• All I had to do was suck it up and try to be patient but that itself wasn't working. I threw the rake I was holding away angrily and walked away. I hadn't seen Owen or Nolan throughout today. I decided to search for them instead. If they weren't at the farm, there was no need for me to be there either. They were both the only ones in my class.
