• I’d tried to talk to Ailana after that, but she decided to hide in her room again and wouldn’t let me in, so I thought it best to give her some time to come to terms with it. She wasn’t the only one hiding apparently. Duron too did not show face for dinner and when I asked about him, I was told he’d left the palace unannounced.
