Chapter 14 Blackmailing

• Jason's memories took him back to that fateful argument he and his daughter had a year ago, the memories still fresh in his mind. He recalled the pain in his daughter's eyes, her fiery passion as she spoke and stood firmly against the arranged marriage he had planned for her.
• “No, Father, I would never be involved in an arranged marriage!“ Jane exclaimed, her voice trembling with emotion. “I won't marry some man I've never met, just to secure the family's business interests. I won’t trade my happiness for yours, whether you like it or not. I won’t be involved in your business deals of using your daughter for your own selfish gain.”
• “I dare you to repeat all you just said!” Jason slammed his hand on his desk in anger. “If you don’t fulfil your part as the heiress of this family, You will cease being my daughter. You won’t be getting any of my properties as a Lockwood.”Jason roared, his voice shaking with anger.
