• Leonard didn’t seem to hear Gavin’s mockery. As he walked forward, his eyes were fixed on Jane, whose eyes were staring at him with hope. That sight alone tugged his heart. Looking at her pitiful appearance, he knew that she had suffered some inhuman treatment. He blamed himself for being slow to locate her location.
