• Dominic took the elevator up to the penthouse, where he stepped into the dimly lit foyer, twice the size of the one he’d shared with Isadora. He knew she was right. She deserved to be happy, and he could never give her that happiness.
• He rubbed his hands over his head as he walked deeper into the penthouse. The other SUV was in the parking lot, so he knew Rafaella had returned safely. A sharp pain tugged at his chest, and he knew he had to somehow make things up to her.
