• Gage sat on a wingback chair as he watched the door of the bedroom open slowly. The gun on his lap felt like an extension of his body. His heart rate was even and his breathing was slow and calm. When the lights were switched on, he aimed the gun as the man stopped in front of Gage.
• “Fuck, Gage. You nearly gave me a heart attack,” he said, smiling nervously.
• “It’s the end of the line for you, Alejandro,” Gage said as he squeezed the trigger.
