• The following day seemed even worse, with more reporters awaiting their arrival at the court building. Dominic hated subjecting Rafaella to them, but she refused to stay at home, idly waiting. Now that Rafaella was halfway through her pregnancy, Hudson hovered like she was his fucking wife, but Dominic didn’t mind.
• When Agent Halden took the stand, he looked right at Dominic as he was sworn in. He knew it was a witch hunt and that Halden would do anything to find out what had happened to Haverley. Dominic didn’t react to his stare, aware that the jury was looking at him.
