Chapter 14

• Soraya walks through the pack compound. The compound is bustling with activity, but she feels isolated. She catches snippets of conversations as she passes groups of pack members. Two pack members, allies of her uncle, speak in hushed tones, unaware that Soraya is within earshot.
• “I still can't believe they're letting a female lead. It's just not right.” Lucas scoffs
• “Yeah, Mark should be the one in charge. She's only winning because of luck,” Max nodded.
