Chapter 49

• Zain opened his eyes and looked at Oaklyn asleep beside him. Last night had happened. She sighed in her sleep, and he smiled. They were very much fully mated. A knock on the door had him slip quickly out of the bed.
• Grabbing his robe, he put it on and rushed over to the door. Looking through the peephole, he saw Bear standing there. Unlocking it, he opened it.
• Bear came in and closed the door behind him, engaging the lock. He turned around, then opened his mouth and snapped it closed again. “I’d, uh, ask how your night was, but—” He motioned up and down his neck. “I can see how it did.” He grinned. “Congratulations.”
