Chapter 8 No Right To Be Happy

• I just sat quietly next to Byron while a few of the people here talked. I heard nothing but questions about me. Sometimes I answer when the question is right but when I'm not comfortable, I just keep quiet. I simply looked at Byron's hand that was still on my waist, what was happening to him? Is this person really like that when in front of a lot of people I am treated well and when I am not, I feel like I wind up with him again or maybe other people he doesn't know. I’m confused with him actually.
• "Amanda." I turned to Kristine. Their cousin. "My last question to you." She stopped again and we were all waiting for what she would say, I was suddenly nervous. "Do you love Byron?" Everyone was silent and I, was unable to react immediately.
• I slowly looked at Byron who was now looking at me as well. With our faces so close, I felt weird. My heart beats faster because of his eyes looking at me. I don’t understand why and what that is but one thing I’m sure of now, is I’m dead later. From his looks and actions, it will not be good for me one day. That this person I should avoid and I should be careful.
