Chapter 1

• I have been so busy for some days now, preparing for my mating rituals with Tanya Gates, the daughter of Alpha Colin Gates the second alpha in command after me in the twelve packs of the white moon realm.
• I have been so busy that I couldn't get enough sleep. I was stressed out and needed to take a break, but I couldn't since it'll be over soon.
• It wasn't like I I didn't have the people to do those things for me, but I believe in doing things myself for better results, I learned that from my late father.
• My mating rituals and marriage ceremony with Tanya Gates is tomorrow at the pack's event centre. I wanted it to be elaborate as I was expecting dignitaries so I went through a lot of stress to pull it through.
• I never intended to marry Tanya, because I didn't love her and she wasn't my fated mate, but I had no choice as I was almost going feral for staying too long without a mate.
• The Alphas' council of the twelve packs of the white moon realm and all the elders in my pack unanimously picked her to be my bride, since her family had a good reputation and by the virtue of her father's position, she's an Alpha
• I laid on the bed and was about drifting off to Dreamland when someone started knocking on my door. I was very angry and promised myself that I was going to detach the person's head from his body for disturbing me, if what he/ she came didn't make sense.
• "Who are you I roared."it's me Ted." Came my favorite gamma's voice from outside.
• "It better be good." I responded as I opened the door.
• "I'm sorry Alpha." He said, bowing.
• "Please speak." I ordered.
• "Please, follow me Alpha, I can't say... No, my mouth can't say what my eyes just saw." Ted replied.
• "Let me go and change." I said, turning around to go back inside.
• "No alpha, please, follow me now." He was sounding agitated.
• That wasn't the Ted I know. I have known Ted since the day he was born, he father was my loyal sentinel until his demise about fifteen years ago, so I decided to promote his son to a gamma when he came of age.
• Ted has never behaved like this before, so I was a bit taken aback and I chose to give him the benefit of doubt.
• "Like I said earlier, this better be good." I threatened him. "Lead the way." I ordered and he did.
• I noticed he was walking at a very fast pace, almost running and I quietly followed him till we got to my Beta who was also my best friend's house.
• I heard voices inside and heightened my hearing. It was Tanya's voice, she was moaning and calling my best friend's name.
• I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I turned to Ted, he was shaking like leaves blown by winter wind.
• "I.. I.. I don't want him to know I... I said this to you." He stammered, still trembling.
• I understood him, so I gave him permission to leave, even though I had a loads of questions for him.
• "I will mind link you, when I need you." I said to dismiss him and he scampered away.
• I pulled down the door and entered the house, just in time to see Andy my best friend removing his horse-like member from Tanya's body in his living room.
• It felt surreal, I was so unbelievable as they both jump up, looking at me with their stack naked bodies.
• I became very weak, as I lost all the strength I had. I couldn't believe it, I couldn't believe Andy would do such thing to me, I could believe Tanya could be so reckless.
• I thought I had found a good girl, because she was always shy and didn't allow me access her body easily. I thought the elders and my fellow Alphas made a good choice for me, but I was a fool all along.
• "Destroy them!" Black my wolf roared through my mouth, as he was fighting to take dominance.
• Ted ran up to me with pleading eyes filled with unshed tears. I could no longer trust anyone, not even Ted, because he might do something worst to me.
• "Please Alpha, please don't let the other Alphas win the battle." He pleaded.
• When he said I shouldn't let other Alphas win the battle, he meant that I shouldn't shed blood, as it was a taboo to shed blood in the white moon realm unless there's war.
• I wanted to ask him how and when he knew about it, when I started hearing murmurs from behind. I turned to see almost half of the pack behind me.
• "Andrew Stones, you are hereby banished from this realm. You and every members of your family including your unborn children are not permitted to come anywhere close to the white moon realm." I decreed and the people present screamed with shock.
• "Alpha please..." He tried to plead.
• "Now leave, before you loose your head." I roared.
• I wanted to kill him and face whatever consequences that comes with it, but couldn't bring myself to kill Andrew, as we had shared a lot in the time past. Andrew and I go way back over the years
• His dad was my dad's beta and I was like a big brother to him, when he was born. He lost his mom at a very tender age and my mom became his mom.
• People who didn't know us called us siblings and we happily agreed. Even after the death of our dads, we still stood strong together.
• To think that Andy was the one telling me what and how to prepare for the mating and marking ceremony...
• "What is going on here?" A few voices chorused and distracted my thoughts.
• I turned to see a few of the other packs' Alphas behind me, including Alpha Colin Gates. Alpha Colin came right on time to hear what I had to tell his daughter.
• "And as for you Tanya." I continued without taking another glance at the Alphas around. "This mating, marking, marriage whatever is cancelled and you should never step your feet on this land ever again. You and your family would do some rituals to appease the realm between now and the next full moon, else your father will loose his alpha position. I am the king of Alphas, by the virtue of the authority given to me by the moon goddess. I am Alpha Arnold McLean and this is my decree." I concluded and walked out, without talking to anyone or listening to what they had to say.
• I heard little whispers, I knew if I heightened my hearing ability, I would be able to hear what everyone of them were saying, but nothing was important to me at that moment.
• I wanted to go back home and have a quiet time, probably sleep, but it wasn't near possible.
• 'Make sure you cancel everything about the mating rituals for tomorrow and tell all my guests so they won't bother coming around.' I said to Ted through the mind link.
• 'Yes my alpha .' He replied.
• 'Ted, how long have you known this and for how long it's been going on?' I asked through the mind link.
• I wanted to know, at least to be sure of what was happening around me and to know who was on my side and who wasn't.
• 'I saw your fianee, sorry your ex fiancee last week going to the beta's house and I didn't think anything of it, because no one would think something like that will ever happen.' He paused and I could feel his anxiety from a distance.
• 'So?' I questioned impatiently.
• 'So, earlier today, I was around the beta's neighborhood when I saw her coming, I wanted to say hi to her, but she looked suspicious...'
• 'What do you mean by she looked suspicious?' I questioned, cutting him in track.
• 'She was looking around like she didn't want people to see her, so I stayed aside to know what was going on and after a while, I started hearing moans. I wanted to mind link you...' He was still talking when I ended the mind link.
• I guess allowing Black run around will be a good idea to help me forget everything I was going through.
• I ran into the the woods and morphed into my wolf form, Black wanted to come out and there was no point stopping him. I need to run and roar it out.
• As I was running in the woods, any other wolf that saw me, tucked their tails between their legs as a sign of respect, but I kept running and roaring without saying anything to anyone.
• Thank goodness I didn't t mate and mark her, what would I have done if she did something like this to me after marking her?
• The Alphas' and elders didn't want me to go feral and chose me a mate, now that mate is the one that wants to make me go feral.
