• The confirmation came through my network of contacts at 9AM. Mia had been picked up on Friday evening and taken to Black Wolves territory. I set down my morning tea and considered the implications.
• After two weeks of avoiding the weekend arrangement, Mia had returned. That meant something had shifted. Either the pressure was breaking her resolve, or she had calculated that using pack resources didn't mean she was surrendering.
