Chapter 13 Blind Obsession (Ii)

• Lily sat beside Eric's bed at the emergency room. She had been out in the hallway but had come in after the nurses were done dressing his arm, which had been put in a cast. She had asked one of the resident doctors about it without Eric's knowledge, and according to him, it looked like he had sprained his arm from direct impact with a blow, as the wound pattern was not consistent with one from a fall.
• "If he'd been pushed and lost his balance, his injuries wouldn't be this severe. It actually looks like his elbow came in contact with a metal," the doctor had said, and Lily nodded, her heart racing.
• "Thank you, doctor," she said as he excused himself.
