Chapter 9 I’ll Never Like You

  • Maria was too deep in her thoughts; she seemed to be tearing up as she spoke, and she totally ignored Gloria’s explanation.
  • She subconsciously caressed her belly. Sorry, Grandma, I’m truly carrying his child. But I will never let Craig know about it!
  • After Maria was gone, Amy came in joyfully. She said sincerely, "Mrs. Ramirez, congratulations for officially being Mr. Ramirez’s woman! Your status will be stabilized in this household from now on."
  • Gloria did not even care about such an honor! "Ms. White, I’m not his woman!" She tried to correct her.
  • Yet Amy mistook her for shy, and she said, "Mrs. Ramirez, it was his first time, so it’s normal that he didn’t know how to control his strength! Please don’t blame him."
  • She questioned mockingly, "Ms. White, how can you be sure it’s his first time? He might be a playboy." She could still remember how experienced he was when he forced himself on her! And she also saw that he was hugging a woman in the hospital the other day. Yesterday, she also overheard that a woman named Jenny was trying to trick him into marrying her. She felt that she was wrongfully accused yesterday due to his wife! She felt disgusted, knowing that he was a playboy.
  • Amy responded firmly, "I have been working in the Ramirez family for so long, I’ve never seen Mr. Ramirez close to any woman. Yet he changed your clothes yesterday.
  • What? He changed my clothes! Dammit! He’s a pervert!
  • Amy saw her getting off the bed, and she tried to stop her. "Mrs. Ramirez, where are you going? Madame Ramirez asks you to rest well!"
  • "I’m looking for Craig Ramirez!"
  • Amy smiled hearing her words, and she said, "The two of you are so sweet. Mr. Ramirez is in the study now with Before she could finish her words, Gloria was already out of the room.
  • In the study, Craig was casually sitting on the sofa with his legs crossed, and he was holding a glass of red wine. He barely had time to relax and enjoy a glass of red wine.
  • Suddenly, his door bulged open. He was alert, yet he tried to suppress his anger when he saw her walking in. She questioned him before he could say, "What’s your explanation for what happened yesterday?"
  • He frowned, as no one dared question him like this. Thinking of how pitiful she was last night, his anger decreased. He slightly tilted his glass and said, "I won’t apologize for the second time; you can just ask for your compensation."
  • He was at fault, but he still acted self-righteous; he was enraging her! She could not hold herself back from reprimanding him. "Craig, I don’t care how many affairs you’re having, but stop doing misleading things!"
  • He fixed his gaze on her face and asked, "Can you make yourself clear? How many women am I having? And what are the misleading things that I’ve done?" He knew that he was impulsive yesterday, yet it did not have a relationship with his sexual life.
  • Gloria was speechless, looking at his reaction as if he were being wronged. She did not mind saying it straightforwardly. "There are so many maids in the Ramirez family; why must you change my clothes for me? You’re just a disgusting pervert!"
  • If I wasn’t locked up in your room and saw that you’re shivering as if you’re dying... Do you think that I’ll bring myself to change for you? And if I hadn’t accused you wrongly, I would have thrown you out by now!
  • He smirked and said mockingly, "I’m a pervert? Well, who touched my entire body when I was in a coma?" He looked at her flirtatiously as he spoke.
  • Her eyes widened, and she responded, "What is touching your entire body? I was just trying to prevent your muscles from atrophying with a massage!"
  • "Ha, massage? "You're just taking advantage of me."
  • She was so angry that she was lost for words. This man is so ungrateful! Without me, he might not recover this quickly!
  • "Why did I guess correctly? You like me, but you try to put the blame on me! Gloria, it’s not good to be so sly at such a young age." Seeing her loss of words, he felt great, and he took a sip of the red wine. When he looked up, she could see his facial outlines, and he was masculine.
  • She did not expect him to be so good at talking back, and he had totally piqued her interest in competing with him. She crossed her arms like him and said casually, "Well, I’ve seen every part of your body; it was just so-so. I will rather go after other men than you!"
  • His face crumpled as he felt that his masculinity was being judged and humiliated. When he was about to quarrel with her, someone with a low voice eased the tension between them. "Excuse me, should I be taking my leave now?"
  • Gloria was stunned, as she did not expect someone else to be in the study. She looked at the other side, and she saw someone standing right in front of the liquor cabinet. This man in a suit walked toward Craig while he was holding an expensive bottle of wine.
  • It was obvious that he enjoyed their drama, yet he was smiling gently like the sunlight. And people would somehow like him...
  • Gloria was totally stunned when she looked at his face. She suddenly had a throwback when she was fifteen; he actually got a job in Loungeadora. She remembered that it was her birthday when she saw that man come back; that day was also the day her mother passed away. That day, she refused to do her cousin’s exam for her, yet her auntie reprimanded and bit her for not being willing to help.
  • At night, she endured the pain in her body and rushed to the clubhouse, yet she fell down the steps. Her manager back then scolded her for messing up such a trivial method.
  • She was happy that she was wearing a mask back then, so no one knew what she looked like.
  • Right at this moment, she felt warmth on her shoulders. Someone covered her with a jacket, and he tried to help her up. She felt that life was not so bad, and she felt some warmth.
  • In the next few years, that man always came to the Loungeadora, and he always sat in the private room waiting for her to sing. And now this man was looking at her.
