Chapter 49 Giving A Helping Hand

• When the Beta came to tell me about the change in my place of work, I was happy. Happy to leave the garden and work in a different place. But I had never thought that I would be working directly with the Alpha and will have to see his bitter side. At first, it was not easy working with him because I kept getting into trouble and got punished for that, but soon got used to it. I was also looking forward to going into the Alpha's room. Though he treated me with disdain, there were beautiful things to look at in his room. One of my favorites was his childhood pictures. The Alpha looked cute and calm when he was young and that got me wondering what changed.
• Every time I go into his room, I stare at his pictures without him noticing, with fear that he might punish me if he catches me staring. There were also some beautiful sculptures in his room too and I loved to stare at them. There was a time he caught me touching one of them and I got punished for it. I was locked up for seven days with little food and water.
