• Making my maid a slave was a relief and I had nothing to worry about. My mom did not ask about my mate and she did not visit me either. This put my mind at rest, that I do not have to worry about my mom finding out that Xavia is my mate. I also do not have to worry about coming in contact with my mate and my wolf jumping up happily. Though I sometimes thought about her and wondered how she was doing, it was easy to get that thought off quickly. Arden did not say anything about her either. He was busy with pack affairs and his mate, he hardly visited. For a few weeks, I had a peaceful time to myself until Arden showed up again.
