Chapter 13 The Suggestion

• "Let's begin," I said coldly.
• The meeting started and I could hardly concentrate. I couldn't hear a word they said either as my mind kept drifting back to my mate. I knew my mom was going to bring her back and I might not be able to get her off my way. Having her work for me is not an option either, because I won't be able to overlook her attitude of talking back at me. Thinking about this made me groan What gives her the courage to speak back at me? I wondered. And why won't she keep shut when I ask her to?
