Chapter 61 Before

• "The night was peaceful for both of them. You know when you sleep with your friend and spend hours chatting nonsense until sleep takes over? Yeah, it was exactly like that. Just with hints of teasing that had an underlying truth.
• It was hard to take it lightly with Alexis. She was everything Andrew wanted to find, but it happened at a terrible time. He was afraid of confusing his feelings, of thinking it was something real when it wasn't. Or perhaps he was embarking on a madness just to avoid rejection.
• Before anything else, Andrew had to sort this out and then decide what he wanted from there on. It was the least he could do, for himself and for the other person. But he couldn't deny that Alex was irresistible. She had a vibe that matched his, never left him feeling sad, always had something to talk about, was affectionate, and when she looked at him... it was as if he were the only man on the face of the earth. It was impossible to separate things when thoughts like these held her in her mind.
