- "Who says I'm joking?" The smug smile appeared on his face. She couldn't stay serious when he did that. "Lying to our families doesn't appeal to me," he whispered so no one but her could hear. "However, it's for a good reason."
- "Good?" He raised one of his eyebrows. "I guess a reason of desperation."
- "We're doing well together."
