Chapter 4

• Isla
• “Are you insane? What are you going to do?” Myla demanded as we headed to my room and I shrugged.
• “I don’t know, find the alpha and beg him, he’s disabled; he shouldn’t have much of an opinion.” I replied and she burst into laughter.
• “Hello… Are you forgetting the fact that he’s gay? Have you forgotten the fact that he hates women? He doesn’t give an audience to anyone… You haven’t appeared before him in the past, how would you table marriage to a stranger? What makes you think he’s going to marry you? Do you know the number of ladies who have tried to be in his life and it all ended in tears?” She demanded and I exhaled deeply.
• “There’s nothing I can do. I can’t let Artemis take the pack… He’s vile and evil, all he wants is power and he doesn’t give a fuck about people.” I replied and she nodded softly.
• “What about Liam? He hasn’t signed the divorce papers, Alpha Kauis would never agree to marry you even if you offer him half of this pack… I’m worried about you, I know you’re in a dilemma but don’t you think it’s best to ask for help from someone else? Someone who is going to be of help?” She suggested and I shook my head.
• “No, find out his schedule for today, I’ll find a way to see him.” I replied with determination and although she wasn’t convinced, she nodded as she began placing calls.
• After ten minutes, she returned with a smile. “I’ve got two news.” She replied and I nodded.
• “Good news, he’s at the Diamond villa, he arrived today and he will be spending the night in this pack, he’s leaving very early so you have only today to make your proposal and the bad news… the house is heavily guarded and no one is allowed inside, not even our guards… The elders tried to enter but his beta was the one who attended to them, he wouldn’t bulge even if you went there. He’s currently outside and if you wait outside his house, you can speak to him when he’s returning but that would be your only chance.” She pointed out and the wheels in my head began turning.
• It was practically impossible at this point but I was going to do this, I’ll make sure I get married to him, I owe this to my parents and my lost child.
• “Don’t worry baby… Mommy is going to have her revenge, she’s going to make Ruby and Liam pay for this… I’ll make sure they regret ending your innocent life before it begins.” I whispered softly as I choked down a sob.
• I grabbed my keys as I drove to the diamond villa, it was the most expensive area other than the pack house in this pack and it was heavily guarded with advanced technology.
• Myla wanted to follow me but I made her stay back.
• “Please call me if you need any help… Be careful around him.” Her words made me smile.
• Arriving at the villa, it was easy to know the house he was staying at. Looking around, there was no guard in sight.
• I decided I’d stay there and wait for him to arrive. A lot was going through my mind and the goddess knew I was filled with fear.
• What if he rejects my offer? How would I fight against Artemis if I end up with someone without power? Did I leave too early? Should I go back to Liam and make a good plan?
• I sighed heavily as I glanced at my watch, it was almost evening and I had been waiting for more than an hour.
• “Dove, I hope I don’t go crazy… This is killing me and goddess knows this is only the beginning.” I whispered and she stirred.
• “Everything will be fine, just wait… I’m sure the alpha will be back soon, just a little patience.” She whispered and I exhaled deeply.
• I waited till it was evening, I was texting Myla throughout, she was equally worried but I kept assuring her that everything was going to be fine.
• Everywhere became dark and I was about to give up when his cars drove by.
• I jumped out of bed, heading towards them and although the gates were locked by the time I arrived, I began banging on the door.
• “What?” The guard demanded rudely as he stepped out.
• “I need to see the alpha… I’m…”
• “The alpha isn’t in need of any slut now.” He replied and I swallowed the insult, knowing I was here for something more important.
• “I’m not a slut…”
• “Then leave.” He replied coldly and I shook my head.
• “I need to see the alpha, it’s urgent and very important.” I replied, stamping my feet on the floor and he took one long glance at me.
• “Here, take this and leave.” He snapped as he tossed a bundle of money to me and I scoffed as I pushed the money away.
• “I’m not here for money…”
• “Then leave…” He snapped as he headed inside while I cursed under my breath, hitting the gates with all my might.
• Goddess knew I was ready to stay here all night. Ten minutes passed without a response and I sighed, this time trying to plead my way in.
• “Please… It’s a matter of life and death.” I whispered and the gate creaked open, making me sigh heavily but to my astonishment, two guards grabbed me roughly.
• “This should do for now, I’m sure by the time the alpha is done with her, there’d be a replacement.” One muttered and I frowned, protesting as I tried to break free from their grip.
• “Let go of me! I’m Isla! The alpha of this pack, how dare you treat me this way! Let go of me!”
• “The alpha is sick again, I just hope she doesn’t die like the rest.” I heard a guard whisper and my body went cold.
