Chapter 128 The Honor

• At the Quarantine Center.
• “If you are not in a haste, Mr. Salem, I would love to visit the center?” Mike pleaded. “What for? The news had it that all the patients are dead, and the center is empty.” Now, Mike was touched and he said, “I know. I would love to check out the quarters. My things may still be there?” Now, Mr. Salem showed worries and looked at his time. Mike prayed silently for him to consider his request. To his delight, Mr. Salem agreed, “It's all right. Take us to the quarantine center,” he instructed the driver when they got into the vehicle. “It is noted, Mr. Salem.”
• They arrived at the deserted center, and Mike felt bad. As a matter of inquisitiveness, Mr. Salem and his security guards walked around while they waited for Mike to sort himself out. To their discovery, there were patients, who were struggling with their health, including the security officer who told Jeff and his team that nothing good comes easy. And if they must see their patients, dead or alive, it must cost them something. Nevertheless, the health team, mobilized by the Cherry Fields, never visited the center due to the information they got about it. “What!” Mr. Salem exclaimed when he walked into the open ward, “These people are still alive,” he stated. Now, his team members were startled and looked at the patients. Then, he gave Dr. Reigns a call at once, and he picked. He gave him an update on his discovery. “I will be with you right away,” the doctor informed. Afterward, Mike walked to the quarters and to his dismay, it was burgled and his stuff disappeared. He walked back to the ward in dejection and informed the team of his plight. “This is strange. Who would have done this?” Mr. Salem asked. Now, Mike sighed and pushed the stolen items behind him. As a health personnel and a compassionate one innately, he wore his gloves and attended to as many people as he could before Dr. Reigns arrived. “This is strange!” the doctor exclaimed. “Very strange. The news about the center was misleading.”
