Chapter 6

• Today Alice, Alex, Dylan, and his wife met in a café to discuss something which no one knows. They were in discussion for almost an hour, and after that they left the café. 
• Alexa was surfing on the internet when Alex and Alice knocked on the door of her room and came inside.
• Alexa was a little surprised seeing them coming together; she understood that they had something to say. She sat on the bed, and Alice and Alex sat on the corner of the bed.
• They both hesitated to speak; Alexa said, "Tell me, Mom, what happened?"
• Alice spoke with some hesitation, "Baby, do …do you have anyone you like."
• Alexa smiled and took Alice's hands in her hand and said, "Mom, you don't need to hesitate so much to ask any question about my private life."
• "And Mom, if I have anyone I like, you and Dadda will be the first person to know it"
• Alex and Alice sighed in relief, and Alex said, "Sweetheart if you don't have anyone you like, so can we arrange a marriage for you?"
• Alexa was stunned to hear her Dadda, she didn't know how to reply to him, she had someone she liked, it was James but she also knew that they can't be together.
• Even if she proposed to him, he will never agree to her. He was still better before she went abroad for higher studies, but after returning, he behaves differently as if he didn't even know her.
• He always behaves weird for an unknown reason, she thought for a moment and said, "Mom, Dadda I believe in your choice."
• Alice and Alex were so happy to hear their daughter agreeing. They left Alexa's room happily; once the door of her room was closed, she walked towards her bookshelf and picked a book and took out a photo.
• It was her photo with James; it was taken after completion of her high school. They went to an amusement park to celebrate and this photo was taken accidentally in which they both were in the same frame.
• She was smiling happily, holding James's arms, and he had a faint smile on his face. But now he became cold towards her after she returned from abroad. 
• She thought he must be keeping a distance from her, as they are not kids anymore, and they cannot be the same as they used to be when they were kids.
• He keeps himself away from her because he might be having his life, his girlfriend, and his love of life.
• Tears rolled down her cheeks; she immediately wiped it and murmured to herself, "You can't cry, Alexa, your love is one-sided."
• She calmed herself down and said, 'I will try to love my husband wholeheartedly and give my best to this marriage.'
• Few days passed, and preparations for Alexa's engagement party started; no one knew the Groom's details.
• When Daniel asked Alex or Alice about the Groom, they smiled and said, "You will know soon."
• Alexa was not interested in knowing who she was getting married; one day Alice asked her, "Alexa, sweety are you not interested in knowing about your Groom?"
• Alexa smiled, took Alice's hand in her hand, and said, "Yes, Mom, I don't want to know whom I am getting married, because I trust you and Dadda, you will choose best for me."
• Alice smiled in satisfaction; suddenly, a voice broke the mother and daughter's peaceful conversation, "Aunty?"
• Alice and Alexa turned together to see James standing at the door; Alice smiled and said, "Come in, James, why are you standing there?"
• James walked towards them with a gloomy face; he had heard Alexa's conversation.
• Alexa was very nervous seeing him; she immediately stood from the sofa and said, "Mom, I just remember I have some stuff to finish, you guys carry on. I will catch you later" saying this, she ran to her bedroom.
• James was pissed, just now he heard her talking to Alice; he thought that she avoided him because she is going to get married.
• He was pissed, thinking that she doesn't want to know about her husband, and she is loyal to him without knowing anything about him.
• James came to hand over a few things to Alice, which his Mom gave him and asked him to do it personally; after finishing the job, he left immediately.
• Alexa was standing at the window in her room, her heart was beating fast, she wanted to avoid him, but she can't stop her heart loving him; she was standing at the window just to glance at him.
• She cannot look at him directly; her heart would jump out if she tried to look at him. 
• When he walked out of the house, Alexa was happy to see him; at least in this way, she will not have to face his dangerous eyes, and she can see him as much as she wants.
• While entering the car, James felt something and immediately looked up in the direction of Alexa's window, but Alexa was quick enough to hide behind the curtains.
• He entered his car, and the car drove away. Alexa was looking at the car till it went out of her sight.
• She was fighting with herself; she had told herself many times that he does not belong to her, but her heart is not ready to understand it.
• Soon it was the day of Alexa's engagement; her gown was designed by the number one designer in the world; she looked so beautiful that no one can stop looking at her, irrespective of men or women.
• She was hell scared, nervous, and many emotions were going on inside her. She reached the venue with her whole family.
• After entering the hall, everyone was congratulating her, soon she saw a figure entering the hall, it was James, he wore a dark blue tailored suit, he was looking so handsome that she could not move away her eyes from him for some time.
• She thought he must be here to attend her engagement, everyone complimented her, but James didn't even look at her for once, as if she was invisible to him.
• It broke Alexa's heart, but she hides her emotions well and doesn't let her tears fall. She rushed to the bathroom because it was getting tough to hold her tears.
• When she rushed to the bathroom, James saw her, James never left his eyes from her, but he didn't let Alexa know about it; when he saw her rushing to the bathroom, he thought she must be going to touch up her makeup.
• He was again pissed, thinking why she is so worried about her looks for a person she doesn't even know.
