- I stared at the water pooling on the bathroom floor, spraying over my bare feet and traveling down the drain. I brought a hand to my belly, which had been bleeding two hours before. The stab wound had sealed up, fading without a scar. I'd healed much faster than usual. Perhaps it was Lucien's healing speed that was rubbing off on me.
