• I swallowed hard, occasionally glancing out of the car window as Enzo drove me to my parents' pack house. I'd told him that I was going to marry Maryse just like my parents had said. But, in truth, I really didn't want to do any of this. A part of me wanted him to throw a tantrum and try to stop me from marrying Maryse. I guess I was just being a hypocritical needy person. I'd pushed him away myself. Yet, there I was, hoping he would pine after me. And when he didn't, I was greatly disappointed.
