• I stared at my reflection in the mirror, noting the dark circles under my eyes. I had been unable to go to sleep right after Lucien's sudden outburst. Everything made sense now. I understood the reason he would randomly call me 'Lily'. I realized why he felt so familiar.
• But knowing this didn't bring me peace. I was curious. I wanted to know what had happened to him. He had changed a lot since the last time I saw him. Most of all, I'd believed he was dead. In fact, l'd attended his funeral.
