• Cyrus wordlessly unlocked the door to his office, and as he walked in, getting ready to usher us in, I wondered if I would tell them about what I was sure — well, almost — Stephen was trying to do.
• He stood behind the door, staring at all three of us expectantly. Avery went in first, cautiously looking around as he took in the new environment. I doubted he had ever been in Cyrus’ office before. Now that I thought about it, not a lot of people have ever been in Cyrus’ office except they had some sort of specifically assigned role or something of the sort.
