Chapter 24 The Proposal

• Seraphine's heart raced with anticipation. She hoped she would be able to convince Alpha Carlson as soon as possible.
• Moments later, she heard a 'come in' and she opened the door. Alpha Carlson was seated on a couch in the office and Shaman Soraya sat on the couch opposite him. They seemed to be having a serious conversation.
• The Alpha's office looked more functional than luxurious, as opposed to the rest of the pack house. The walls were painted in a simple beige color, giving the room a neutral backdrop. A sturdy and unadorned wooden desk sat against one wall. It was covered with stacks of paperwork and a few scattered pens, suggesting that he had a busy schedule but lacking any personal touch.
