Chapter 7 Who Am I Really?

• Hannah's POV
• It had been two weeks since the last incident with Adam, and not once had he summoned me or forced me to share his bed since. But that didn’t mean his presence wasn’t suffocating. Every corner I turned, every breath I took in this packhouse, it felt like he was there, watching me.
• Maria, Adam’s new obsession, has been staying in the packhouse ever since they announced their upcoming wedding and Luna ceremony. The pack whispered about their supposed fated bond, how they were destined for one another, but I knew better. And Maria walks around like she owns the place, smiling and chatting with the pack members, spinning the story that she and Adam are fated mates. It’s hard to stomach. Everyone believes the lie because Adam makes sure of it, parading her around like a trophy. I was his true mate, not Maria. And yet, he allowed this charade to continue, letting Maria parade around the packhouse as if she were already Luna.
