• After the doctor left, I convinced Daniel that he didn't need to stay the night. I was safe now, and I didn't want to inconvenience him given that he had work the next day. From the look on his face, I could tell that he was deeply worried about me, but he said nothing regarding the news the doctor had just delivered. He told me he would be here first thing in the morning to see me, although i told him he didn't need to trouble himself, but he insisted.
