• I was stunned to hear Morgan's confession. I couldn't understand why he became jealous so easily. I had no interest in Sylvester Edwards, not that it would matter if I did. I had never met him, and as I had pointed out, I was just an ordinary worker while he was the CEO of the Edwards Group. His only interest in me was because I was his employee. And, I was only saying nice things about him, because he was a good boss.
• I hadn't thought it would make Jacob feel bad. I straightened from my position on the counter and gave him an apologetic smile.
