Aiden had left early, I was still in the afterglow of the previous night of passion. Until Mike called me to enquire about the money. He seemed desperate, but he was not ready to divulge why he needed it? What was wrong? Maybe I should have been more proactive, and forced him to spill out the reason, why he needed so much money? What if he used the money for something illegal? He wasn't that kind of a person though. He couldn't even hurt a fly!
I wasn't worried about the time he would return it. It didn't matter to me, I just wanted to be sure that he was safe and out of trouble.
