Chapter 374 An Act of Slander

  • Karen put on the most innocent expression she had as she began to sob in distress. “I don’t know how the railing got damaged; I could only watch as Yvonne fell off. I was trying my best to save her too!” She couldn’t let Henry leave just like that; what if Yvonne revealed that she was the one who shoved her off after she woke up? Karen therefore had to clear her own name for now. If Yvonne attempted to put the blame on her, she would have no evidence then! So it was important that she first made Young Master Henry believe that she was innocent, that it was all an ‘accident’.

But when she arrived at the elevator, she heard the sound of Karen sobbing coming from the balcony at the end of the walkway. She quickly rushed over, only to see her own precious granddaughter clinging onto a man’s leg while sobbing her heart out. The old woman was about to charge toward them when Henry’s bodyguards heartlessly blocked her way. This led Old Madam Page to shout furiously at Henry, “What are you doing to my granddaughter?!”
