- By the time we reached the mall exit, I could feel Kieran's glare burning into my back. I let him stare. In two days, his opinion wouldn't matter. Jason walked beside me, hands in his pockets, looking far too pleased with himself.
- "You didn't have to do that," I said once we were outside. "I'll pay you back."
- He waved a hand dismissively. "Don't insult me. It was a children's dress, not a car." His grin widened. "Besides, watching your brother's face turn that shade of purple was worth every cent."
