Chapter 40 Hidden City

• Xavier tensed up his body even more, senses on high alert. He could tell there was someone else in the forest, something dangerous, and it wasn’t their pursers.
• As he carefully jogged through the forest, looking for the pursers, a strong scent of blood filled the air making him pause for a moment. Xavier didn’t have to wait long to figure out where the blood was coming from.
• From the corner of his eye, Xavier spotted a black wolf a few meters away growling at the air. He frowned as he looked upon the matted fur of the wolf and blood dripping from multiple wounds.
