Chapter 21 Threats

• Two weeks soon passed by after the social gathering without much drama. Clare focused all her time studying or perfecting her magic. She had successfully managed to hold her glamor for five minutes and was now practicing on strengthening it.
• Her relationship with Xavier was in limbo, Clare not wanting to change it. Xavier was fine with it for the most part, although now and again, the man would try his luck.
• Still, it was about time she actually spoke to him about it. After the social gathering, everyone at the academy began targeting her upon finding out Xavier was fond of her. She had expected some backlash, appearing at the social gathering, but not as bad as it was.
