• I was confused. “What do you mean? I told, he just offered me a job. I was walking down the road when he showed up and asked me if I needed a job. I cannot say I have a relationship with him, let alone a personal one.” I chuckled.
• He paused for a beat, then spoke in a voice that had dropped an octave, quiet but firm. “He’s not someone you should be involved with, Aria. He is a dangerous man who you should have nothing to do with. It would be best if you kept your distance from him. Do you understand?” Dominic asked.
