• For the first few days, Lorenzo tried to justify his sexual situation with the therapist’s theory, he was not in love with Arianna Bellandi, but rather he was addicted to her, like a hard drug. His body had been conditioned to yearn for her, it was not love but a sickness.
• But after attending two more sessions with Mrs. Vale where they discussed more of his feelings for Arianna, it soon became clear to him that he was in fact in love with her, and that he couldn’t stay away from her any longer.
