Chapter 5 Feel The Wind

• Lindsey let out a series of praise as she placed soothing hands from the head till she got to the horse center she did it with subtlety,she steadied herself as she propel herself onto Diana's center as she made careful gentle contact so as not to spook the beautiful white Mare,she carefully place her left leg on the inside rein as she boost herself up and then raising her right leg as she settled towards the center of the mass. She took a minute to calm her breath with her hands tightly gripping the reins,she gave a gentle kick to Diana's stomach as she let out a "Ya!!" She picked up the rein enough to create contact with the horse's mouth as the horse gallop across the field,she relax back as she enjoyed the calming breeze as she rode round the field,she waved her hand when she saw Karen and let out a soft chuckle.
• Karen waved back then relaxed on the wooden fence as she watched Lindsey with smiles on her wave, Lindsey was like a goddess of war as she controlled the horse and Karen couldn't be any more prouder,as she stared at Karen a black stallion gallop towards her and nuzzled closer to her out stretched hand , She let let gasp accompany by tiny giggles as she enjoyed the feeling she felt as she continuously stroked the Stallion,the stallion then moved away from her as he neighed shaking his head as his black shiny hair moved left and right before galloping away. Karen smiled as she watched him for some time before looking at Lindsey when she heard a whooping noise.
• Lindsey rode Diana enjoying the scenery from on top the horse back until she finally came to a halt in front of one of the stable boys working the field who quickly got a hold of the rein as she softly got down from the Mare ,she gave a quiet thank you as she ran towards her best friend with smiles on her face and andreline in her blood form the horse ride.
• "Wowww that was fun." She stopped in from of Karen as she let out a happy squeak "are you sure you don't want to ride?." She asked amidst heavy pant.
• "No thank you,seeing you riding was fun for me." Karen said as she wiped the sweat from Lindsey face.
• Lindsey and Karen said their goodbyes as the left the stables and towards their way to Karen's home.
• Mrs Katherine was very happy to see them most especially her beautiful daughter,as she wiped her hands on her Apron and ran towards them enveloping them in a bear hug. She had been waiting by her window since her daughter called to inform her that she and her friend were coming to see her.she missed her daughter though she was the one that agreed on a three day sleepover. So when she saw her daughter and her friend coming through the window she happily rushed out of the door and towards their arms as they let out gasps from the sudden hug before securing into the hug.
• "Mum." Karen mumbled as she squeezed more into the hug, 'oh how she had missed her mother' She thought as she pressed into her mother's embrace.
• "Karen sweetie" Mrs Katherine gushed as stared at her daughter. "Lindsey you're looking as beautiful as ever." She turned towards Lindsey with a gentle pinch to her cheek,as Lindsey blushed looking down.
• "Come on come on i made food." She all but gently pushed them into the house.
• The inside was as beautiful as the outside and cozy as flowers of different kind decorated every inch of the house,pictures of Karen and her mum on the walls, including Karen holding an award was display for everyone who walked into the house to see. Different food lay spiral on the mahogany dinning table as Mrs Katherine with her Apron on,began to dish food as Karen and Lindsey sat down, drooling at the sight of the food on the table.
• "Mum... You really went all out." Karen said as her Mum let out a soft Chuckle.
• "Of course. I need to fatten you up before you can go back." Waved Katherine with a smile as she looked at Karen.
• Karen raspberry "Mum. You sound as if i am going far away."
• "That's because you are. When you are not with me , you're away." Katherine walked over to her daughter as she gave her a gentle pinch to the cheek.
• "Mum...." Groaned Karen rubbing her cheek. "I am not a child."
• Lindsey watched the lovely interaction between mother and child with a smile. 'so this is what Karen feels when i am with my parent.' She thought . It was a good feeling.
• "Enough of this talks, time to eat." Katherine said before sitting at the head table with Karen by her right side and Lindsey by her left side.
• The aroma was enough to make Karen and Lindsey mouth water as they stared at the food with hunger.
• "Come on, don't just look. Eat." Katherine said with a warm smile. Lindsey and Karen immediately dig in , savouring the taste as they hummed in delight.
• "Mrs Katherine you will make a nice Chef." Lindsey mumbled with food in her mouth.
• "Swallow before you talk." Warned Katherine.
• Lindsey swallowed,then stared at Mrs Katherine. "Sorry." She mumbled, a guilty look on her face.
• You would not know this, but Mrs Katherine was ecstatic about the compliment,even though she knew she can never be compared to Martha Amazon cooking. She had fear that her daughter would come to hate her cooking after eating Martha's food, But she was wrong when she saw them enjoying the food with smiles on their face.
• She smiled as she dug into her plate of steak.
• Just as Mrs Katherine was happy about her daughter's present, So was Karen. She misses her Mum just for the two days she was away. She kept glancing at her Mum with smiles on her face and a twinkle in her eyes.
• "Love you Mum." Karen looked at her Mum who was crimson red because of the sudden confession. Karen let out a chuckle when she saw her Mum blushing. She was surprised that her Mum still haven't gotten use to her outburst of emotion. She was the type to always profess her love.
• "Love you too." Mrs Katherine stated after coming down from her shock. She was very happy though it was a regular thing for them,She was just surprised and from the looks on her daughter's face,she guess that was the reaction she was looking for.
• Lindsey watched the duo while she ate her food, she wished she was as outspoken as Karen. She loves her parents but she was not the kind of person to openly profess her feelings. She get shy whenever she wanted to say it the words just get stuck in her tongue.
