Chapter 2 Hide and Seek

  • The Pine Forest, called the Whispering Forest, is located in the Begonia City of the Qingchang Empire. The forest consists of rows of centuries-old pine trees, fortified by Line Hills, stretching from the Southwest to the Northwest of the empire.
  • Besides being known as the Forbidden Territory, the forest is believed to be the dwelling place of magical creatures, never seen by anyone, nor residents of Begonia City itself. But there was hearsay coming from the group of firewood collectors, that there were often strange noises, heard growling from within the Whispering Forest.
  • Rows of tall pine trees soar into the sky, and the branches stick out like witch's fingers, dancing to catch the sunlight sneaking between the branches, making the atmosphere of the forest look very comfortable but mystical.
  • Four small children ran around on the edge of the Pine-laden Forest, not feeling the slightest fear, even though the regulations forbade any forest from approaching the Whispering Forest. They didn't realize that there were eyes secretly watching the four, as they frolicked deeper and deeper past the periphery of the prohibition.
  • "Let's start the game! Come pitted a lot, who was the goalkeeper first." The cry of the domineering little girl was greeted by giggling laughter.
  • The four boys started a game of hide and seek, a traditional children's game, played by at least three people, to create a sense of crowding and joy. This game is much more fun if played outdoors, compared to indoors.
  • This hide-and-seek game is very popular among children in Ayax Continent.
  • The rules of the game.
  • The hideous will have to hide somewhere unexpected, while the group's sole seeker, will try to find it. If the searcher finds one of them, then the first person to be shot will be the loser who looks for his friend in the next game.
  • Avena became the loser in the draw. Her face became gloomy.
  • "Let's hide a little bit in the depths of the forest. Let Avena be the search officer, repeatedly in later games until he cried!"
  • Kiran shouted with a clown mimic. He was very happy to tease Avena who he thought was pretentious. Kiran slipped between the trunks of the Pine Trees, a little deeper, breaking the rules even more.
  • Avena closed his eyes and started counting from 1 to 20. Kiran has gone into hiding, and Kai and Ming are still running in search of a hard place for Avena to get. Then the two slipped between the trees by the roadside, not as brave as Kiran.
  • At first, everything looks fine.
  • Avena does not realize that she was being worked on by the three male friends. Her face still looks sweet, a smile curled upwards on her lips. But three boys tried to hold back laughter, in a hiding place.
  • "Lose! You lost again!" Kiran excitedly laughs at Avena.
  • The second game starts, the third until repeatedly Avena always loses in the hide and seek game.
  • In the fifth round of the game, when again and again Avena became a loser, having to wait for the fortress of the game, his face turned violent. The cheerful smile faded already.
  • Avena is not an innocent little girl.
  • She secretly analyzed incident after incident for more than five rounds of the game.
  • "You lost again!" Kiran laughed and ran cheerfully, hiding in the depths of the forest. And Avena began to show dissatisfaction.
  • Her face fell lower and lower, the kind little girl's smile had long since faded. Avena was petrified. Her face looked like a goddess of war!
  • Avena is the only girl among the four friends. In addition, her oldest age – was 12 years, during this time she was forced to always be friendly to her three male friends.
  • Avena began to be engulfed in deep anger.
  • "Never mind that someone has arranged this. We'll see," her mind began to grudge. And Kiran, who was the most vocal laughing at him, became Avena's target.
  • "I hate Kiran repeatedly managing to lose me in this game. Seven rounds of the game passed and I always sat here quietly, it was just as a fortress waiter like a fool."
  • Avena began to go crazy.
  • Once, the opportunity came. When the Goddess of Luck blesses Avena.
  • The girl managed to win the hide-and-seek game, while Kiran became the loser who served as the next waiter. Kiran is the one who has to look for three friends who are now going into hiding. Avena reviewed the sly smile on the face.
  • Avena takes revenge by persuading two other boys, Kai and Ming. She has a plan.
  • "Don't you guys feel? It was already afternoon. Soon dusk will fall.
  • It would be nice if we hid in each other's homes. Let that stupid Kiran rummage around until the evening is approaching." Avena began to incite.
  • "This is not commendable, right?" Ming glanced at Kai, asking for opinions.
  • The two disagree with the cunning game proposed by Avena. Ming protested against the unsportsmanlike attitude shown by Avena.
  • "What if Kiran is still looking for the three of us and night comes? He is a reckless child. I'm afraid that he is desperate and enters the forbidden forest." Ming's face was doubtful.
  • "I don't agree!" Ming said trying to take sides.
  • Avena snatched away. The look on her face worsened. The girl sneered, her voice sounding dissatisfied. She asked Kai, trying to ignore Ming
  • "Then you are yourself, how is Kai?
  • Will it follow my advice, are you willing to ally with that Ming?" Avena pointed with her lips, looking unhappy with Ming's defense.
  • Kai did not answer the question straightforwardly. He hesitated, between choosing to follow Ave's cunning game or going with the honest Ming.
  • Tick - tick -tick! The hour hand sounded, and the seconds passed.
  • Avena held her breath. Kai is the decision-maker. Avena sees a tendency to see bad things. She cunningly began to play a charade.
  • His eyes turned teary, his voice trembling with contrived ness for the other two children to fall into pity.
  • "Alright, you two like Kiran more than Ava, this little girl."
  • Aven's hand reached into his pocket, and then fell a round object, rolling on the ground. A bronze-colored object with a rectangular hole in the middle attracted the attention of two boys.
  • Ting! Ting... The thing rolled, sounding like it hit a rock.
  • Ming and Kai's eyes widened. Bronze coins! Both of them hissed in surprise. Bronze coins are of higher value than copper coins, let alone ordinary iron coins. That's a lot! With that amount, they can finish two bowls of warm noodles!
  • Avena carelessly made a ducking motion to pick up a bronze coin but deliberately displayed the value of the currency.
  • "Ten bronze prices!" The two boys were even more wide-eyed.
  • Dramatically, Avena spoke.
  • "This much value, I think it's enough for the three of us to go shopping for stomach-filling snacks, in the afternoon!"
  • Kooorr!
  • A thunderous sound from the stomachs of the two boys sounded, and Avena widened a smile. Avena didn't stop there. She said, her movements became coquettish, pretending to be leaving.
  • "My mother said, with this amount, I can treat friends to eat onion noodles at Aunt Mei Ling's stall."
  • Her steps were slow, her eyes glanced probing at Kai and Ming. Continue to pretend with a gesture of not caring, stepping into the crossroads. But she knew. "Avena has won this debate!" A sly smile fell on the lips.
  • On his fifth step - a step made as slowly as possible, Ming and Kai gave up. The two boys took Ave's arm intimately.
  • "Kiran will come to her senses by himself. When he doesn't find us in the next 30 minutes, he's sure to be finished. It's too stupid to look forward to the Forbidden Forest when night approaches!" Avena took Kai and Ming by the hand, right and left respectively. The three hummed folk lahu, walking quickly to Aunt Mei Ling's stall.
  • "I'll eat two servings of noodles!" Ming's voice was loud.
  • "It's not just you who want that. Stupid, I'm hungry too. Maybe three servings will fit in my stomach!" Kai replied no less excitedly.
  • Avena wide laughed,
  • "Eat all you can! Today the sweet girl Avena treats you two. Kiran is too stupid and innocent, thinking we are still hiding in that Whispering Forest!"
  • They go out to have fun, and Kiran is forgotten.
  • ++++++
  • The boy stepped slowly. At this time he was walking on a path overgrown with wild grass and blooming flowers. The bark occasionally comes into contact with tall wildflowers, it brings pleasant strange sensations.
  • Two hours have passed since Kiran searched for Avena's whereabouts, Kai and Ming hid but never found it.
  • Kiran began to assume...
  • "Those three stupid children must have dared to hide deeper among these Pines. If they dare, why should I be afraid of this Whispering Forest?" His inner self was encouraging. The feet stepped deeper and deeper.
  • The mouth can say that he is not afraid of breaking the rules. But Kiran was scared. The punishment for violating the Whispering Forest is terrifying in the eyes of the people of Qingchang.
  • At that time the sky was dusk. The color turns gloomy. The sunlight dimmed, and the atmosphere of the Whispering Forest quickly turned terrifying. The flowers that gently touch the bark, turn into leathery, prickly shrubs.
  • Kiran came back to his senses. It was night.
  • The moon looks round, its light enters between the leaves of Pine, long as needles. A feeling of panic now hits. But Kiran still tried to calm down. He paused slightly. Trying to remember again, which road he walked until it penetrated the heart of the forest.
  • The more Kiran tried to turn through the path she originally walked, the more she lost his way. Kiran circled on the spot. came back and returned to the starting position, he strode over. After a long time, he seemed to be thrown into a place that seemed strange, full of rows of small hills.
  • Kiran initially did not think that it was called Line Hills.
  • Above the rows of hills, Kiran saw a high wall layered with thin smoke, exuding a mystical aura that made the hair down.
  • Kiran panicked!
  • "What am I doing? How did I get to this scary place?"
  • Kiran shivered when she realized that it was a territorial boundary with Chossa Country.
  • ++++++
  • The night is getting late.
  • "Am I going to die here?" Kiran's eyes filled with tears, her legs trembled and her stomach rang 'kooor'. But only a gust of cold wind greeted his fear.
  • Sadness struck when I remembered Arhun Wang – his father who was lying on the bed, stiff due to illness. His heart was even more sad. He tried to think clearly and chose one wide-trunked tree, leaning back and trying to rest.
  • "Hopefully when the sun rises, I have good luck. Finding a way out during the day is much easier." He comforted himself.
  • The night was getting late and the child was weak from hunger.
  • "Sleep can relieve hunger!" Kiran suggests himself
  • He was just about to close his eyes when at the height of the sky above there, there appeared two small dots chasing each other. Now and then the little flicker exploded like a small spark and thought it was just a mere natural phenomenon.
  • With her eyes drowsy, Kiran watched the sky more seriously. His attitude quickly changed to seriousness. Changes that occur at two points chase each other up there.
  • "It's not a natural phenomenon. It's two living things!" Kiran stood up, no longer acting calm.
  • At first, two points were enlarged. Its shape looks like an oblong object with wide wings. The creature is beaked. It is fiery red.
  • Kiran squinted. The creature's form looks like the pictures of the Ayax Continent's Legendary Creatures!
  • "Phoenix! That's right, it's Phoenix!" Kiran thought. He once saw a picture of the creature in the school library - when the war had not yet occurred.
  • Even more surprising, the other thing turned out to be a ship! A ship that can fly, is called the Spirit Ship!
  • Boom!
  • A burst of fire burst out from the direction of the spirit ship, and Kiran's eyes opened wide.
  • "It's a rare sight! Spirit Ships and legendary Beasts, chase each other in battle!" Kiran got goosebumps.
  • On the spirit ship were ten people, all wearing Enchantment Master robes, and repeatedly shooting at the huge creature using fire. The flames burst out when they waved goodbye!
  • "Wretched!" Kiran's inner heart was horrified.
  • "This is not a delusion. This is a real battle incident between legendary creatures against ten enchantment masters - Pyromancer and Hydromancer!"
  • Note: Pyromancers are Elementalist- firebenders, while Hydromancers are Elementalist- waterbenders.
  • For wind controllers, it is called Aeromancer while the ruler of the land is called Geomancer.
  • CONTINUED.
  • Chpter3 Phoenix and Spirit Ship
  • Kiran gawked. His heart pounded as he looked up at the night sky, above that mystical and forbidden Whispering Forest.
  • "Is it real?" He whispered in disbelief. But all is clear.
  • Seen in the sky there, there was the appearance of two creatures chasing each other. Phoenix and spirit ships filled with Master Enchanters - Pyromancers and Hydromancers.
  • It should be noted here. The ability to fly, or ride a legendary creature like Phoenix up there, was something extremely luxurious in the Ayax Continent. A person with a small status like Kiran would not dream of driving a spirit ship, let alone a Phoenix. Only the White Sage and the Black Warlock Emperor, to Kiran's knowledge, can enjoy the luxury of flying with legendary creatures - this is in the mystical Tales of the Qingchang Empire, about the Phoenix Clan's Sage fighting against Emperor Hersen for example.
  • Kiran was a child who was very fond of hearing stories and fairy tales. At the drinking house called Brimm The Liquidator he always awaits the opportunity of Mr. Niraj Singh, a storyteller with his legendary stories to perform. The legendary story of the battle in the sky between the White Sage and the Black Warlock is Kiran's favorite story.
  • The man with dark brown skin and gray hair was not from their Qingchang empire. Tenu, his physique is different from most Qingchang people, because Niraj Singh is a man of descent from the Land of Zolia, in the West of the Ayax Continent. He was confined to the Qingchang Empire while on a trade trip - unaware that the two countries had been separated by the magic illusion wall by the Black Warlock - Emperor Oberon The Enchanter.
  • Hearsay blows, Niraj Singh is a charming master and spy of the Red Phoenix Clan. But it has not been proven true.
  • In the sky of the forbidden forest...
  • The two luminous figures glare closer and closer, now flying past Kiran's head, chasing each other at incredible speed.
  • It didn't take long for Kiran to realize that the two lights chasing each other, it was the figure of a large Phoenix bird being chased by a Spirit Ship.
  • Kiran was terrified!
  • It is abstinent for a commoner in the Qingchang Empire to witness firsthand the practices of magic. It is clearly stated in prohibition regulation number 50 that you do not want to be punished.
  • But the fear in Kiran's heart evaporated quickly with the heat that vomited as the Pyromancer on the ship shot fire.
  • Kiran was ecstatic. Full euphoria in the chest.
  • Roar!
  • As the spirit ship maneuvered and its distance shortened toward the ground, Kiran gawked.
  • "The ships full are not just Pyromancers and Hydromancers. Many other charm masters are seen and have not taken action!" Kiran murmured. He almost came out of hiding.
  • The boy kept the details of the fight in his mind. "Sometime I will play myself, pretending to be one Pyromancer!" Kiran was proud. Among Avena, Kai, and Ming, he is the only child who has seen the magic battle in person!
  • Fear mixed with anger at getting lost in the Whispering Forest now turned into gratitude. Suddenly...
  • Wush...
  • The sky turned red.
  • The burning fire was about 100 meters long, and its diameter was more than a quarter of the length of the flame.
  • "The phoenix is angry! He breathes fire!" Kiran was even more excited to watch. He was amazed.
  • Looks in the dark sky.
  • The Phoenix moved gracefully, she twisted and fluttered her wings. Its body is about twenty meters long, almost as long as a spirit ship.
  • "These creatures are really beautiful. He is fierce like an eagle, whose feathers are beautiful like peacocks."
  • Kiran noted.
  • The beautiful Phoenix plumage is a combination of dark blue and sky blue color sometimes. There was also a tinge of white and orange, as flames bounced off behind the beautiful feathers. Every time that Phoenix moved, the crown on its head and every strand of its feathers, it left a trail of flames – blazing. The nails on the claws are sharp, similar to a short sword!
  • When Sang Phoenix breathed a huge fire and hit the bullseye, the huge sail on the ship lit up! Master of charm - Pyromancer screams breaking the desert.
  • "Water! Water Curse...
  • Now it's Hydromancer's turn! Act quickly or we die after the ship burns down!!" The voice of one Pyromancer sounded panicked.
  • "Ah... You ganged up on him!" Kiran couldn't help himself, he made a sound.
  • From the spirit ship appeared a torrent of fountains, following local rains. The torrent is endless, utilizing rainwater and making it into a torrent of waterfalls. The phoenix was overwhelmed when the water fell on his body. The flame faded.
  • Kiran suddenly felt pity. Inexplicably, he sympathized with the huge Phoenix creature that was ganged up. And again, Kiran judged that the Phoenix didn't look like the Peak stamina.
  • "All the shots were missed, inaccurate!" Kiran squinted, looking at the Phoenix that was being attacked on two sides. Pyromancer and Hydromancer attacks. There are five people each.
  • Meanwhile, the fight in the sky looks increasingly intense. The Phoenix seemed even angrier.
  • Phoenix squealed! There was a kind of shield covering his body, it was a magic spell. Water and rain could not touch him. The Phoenix then squealed, his voice loud and terrifying.
  • The Phoenix, who had always sprayed magic flames at the ten fire benders and water benders, has now changed his strategy. He served in the air, his body flying high ninety degrees straight towards the sky.
  • Kiran stares fascinated at the trail of fire and the reddish mist – that's the trail of fire from the shadow of the Phoenix. The longer the Phoenix figure shrinks, it is a great distance.
  • Pyromancer, the leader of the spirit ship seemed to be happy. He thought that the Phoenix was daunted and conquered. The voice gave instructions.
  • "Don't let the creature off the hook." Kiran felt that she felt bad. The Pyromancer's voice sounded low-pitched, making the nape hair stand tense.
  • "Windbender - Aeromancer please exert your abilities. Block that Phoenix! I bet the big bird will swoop in to slaughter us." His voice was thunderous.
  • Kiran's heart thumped. those cold words...
  • "Are there still other charm masters? Aren't the two Pyromancer and Hydromancer controllers enough? This phoenix has a special status!
  • I wonder, where exactly did the Phoenix come from?" Kiran begins to be suspicious. His thoughts turned to the fairy tale stories in Brimm's The Liquidator.
  • Windbender - The Aeromancer was out and stood on the deck of the ship. There are three of them. Exciting shows are coming soon. And Kiran refused to hide.
  • The three Aeromancers then floated, floating in the air at a distance of two spears on the deck of the spirit ship.
  • "Impossible!" Kiran couldn't believe it.
  • Then the three Aeromancers waved goodbye. The atmosphere freezes when a hurricane is created, appearing suddenly. Kiran stared at the incident with a huffed look.
  • "Cheating!
  • thirteen people had already fought and attacked the Phoenix by themselves!
  • You shameless witches!" Kiran cursed.
  • He forgot that the incident in front of his eyes was not a magic show. It was a life-and-death battle.
  • Roar! Kiran looked up to the sky, chest-beating wildly.
  • The phoenix dived sharply like a whip of the wind. The spirit ship was no less fast, soaring across the sky driven by the magic winds of the three Aeromancers. A collision will happen!
  • Kiran closed his eyes, but there was a gap to peek at.
  • "I can't imagine what will happen!"
  • Kiran's face was filled with a sense of horror.
  • Wussh! The sound of rattling flames sounded when Phoenix opened his mouth. But the water and wind deflected the Phoenix's fire attack.
  • Suddenly the Phoenix swerved!
  • The huge fire again and again sprayed while diving sharply, the target locked the body of the ship, he intended to scorch the spirit ship and everything in it.
  • "Dead!" cursed Kiran from the periphery of the field. He was compromising from down there.
  • A giant shield is formed when the Hydromancer turns rainwater into buff - its rounded shape protects the front of the ship.
  • Kraak!
  • Unfortunately. The Phoenix swerved swiftly. He made a cornering motion, with a pair of claws as sharp as a short sword, his black nails tore open the body of the Spirit Ship.
  • The hull was torn apart, long Phoenix nail scratches split the ship's body. The Spirit Ship lost its balance, its flight instantly became swayed, circling in the air.
  • Not satisfied with his actions, once again the Phoenix maneuvered in the air. He had been close to the sail of the 98-foot-long spirit ship. The fire engulfed the sails of the ship, making it more swayed, now even unsteady.
  • "Danger! The ship is in danger!" The voice of instruction sounded. The sound of screams resounded like terror from the deck of the spirit ship.
  • "All the occupants of the ship, get ready for the impact on the mainland!" A nervous voice came from inside the spirit ship.
  • At that time, the spirit ship can no longer maintain its balance. The ship not only swayed, but now swooped quickly with the platform first aimed at the ground.
  • "Attention, in the count of 10 the probability of collision will occur." A panicked voice sounded.
  • Kiran was transfixed from where she was watching. He dared to swear, when he saw the look of a smile, on that Phoenix's face. At first glance, it looks like a human face.
  • "Is Phoenix incarnate?"
  • But the smile on the Phoenix's face quickly faded.
  • Suddenly a man unexpectedly stood at the stern of the ship that began to fall. He spoke in a language that was difficult to understand. His mouth was squashed and his hand waved at the Phoenix.
  • Kiran stared in disbelief as the man threw an object the size of a child's fist, gleaming like metal. The next shocking incident happened.
  • That little thing suddenly turned exploded and turned into a giant Sword. It was the biggest sword Kiran had ever seen.
  • Kiran was stunned, speechless. At the critical moment, he saw the sword pierce Sang Phoenix's chest. Phoenix squealed in pain, and the unsteady fell to the ground.
  • "Feel it. Let us die together!"
  • Afterward, only a loud crash, and following explosions were heard as the ship landed next to the illusory wall.
  • Boom!
  • Kiran paled!
  • "The ship exploded!" He panicked. It felt guilty to witness an important event that he shouldn't have been able to witness.
  • Meanwhile, the Phoenix drifted faster and closer to the spot where Kiran was standing watching. Surprised!
  • "Danger! That phoenix is going to hit me."
  • Kiran ran to the safest place as far as possible to avoid a collision, The flame was bound to happen.
