Chapter 40 Defending

• "I know, although he's a murderer, it's not our right to kill him, whether he is a human or not." Jake argued later. He doesn't agree with Mike's idea of wanting to kill Vincent Cox instead of arresting him. Mike looked away, then sighed annoyingly. He was silent for a moment to think calmly about what to do next.
• "We'd better keep following the hints by spying on the priest. We also have to put our eyes on Brandon Meadow in the hospital. Hasn't he done with the surgery?" Jake asked Mike if he had finished surgery, reminding him. Mike turned his head and snorted loudly. He almost forgot about it because of the burning vampire in the autopsy room.
• "I'm going to the hospital now!" said Mike, standing from his seat and ready to leave.
